Jewish ‘Big Bang Theory’ star Mayim Bialik joins Madeleine Albright in offensive Muslim registry scheme
Bill Clinton’s former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and Big Bang Theory star Mayim Bialik are making headlines as they “stand ready” to register for the database of Muslim Americans if President Trump creates such a list.
“I was raised Catholic, became Episcopalian & found out later my family was Jewish,” Albright tweeted on Wednesday in offensive spin of the national security crisis.
“I stand ready to register as Muslim in #solidarity.”
Albright also tweeted her support for refugees, saying in a tweet, “There is no fine print on the Statue of Liberty. America must remain open to people of all faiths & backgrounds. #RefugeesWelcome.”
“If we’re registering people who you think are a threat, register white males too, since most serial killers & mass shooters are white males.”
“Look, the president has talked extensively about extreme vetting,” White House spokesman Sean Spicer said, promising “more action this week.”
The statement from the Trump campaign on “preventing Muslim immigration,” personally signed by Trump on Dec. 7, 2015. “Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on,” the statement said in part.
There were ridiculous remarks made during the campaign, but the hysteria here is disgusting. There are NO SIGNS that such a database is being made or was even planned. Blocking Islamic immigration from sensitive countries is NOT a Trump plan, but one that several politicians support.
In fact, countries in the EU are reversing their open border policy after the refugee crisis has resulted in terrorist attacks linked to refugees, increases in violent crime such as rape and a general atmosphere of chaos and anarchy from these Islamic refugees.
To act like you can switch to Islam in some hollow voice of solidarity does nothing but misrepresent the situation and create more hostility and divisiveness. While I’m not surprised at all by Albright, it is a little disturbing to see the celebrity drones lining up behind the movement so quickly.
Nevermind, I’m not surprised.
